Local Bus
The local bus connectivity is very extensive in Sydney. For local travel, it is a very easy and quick mode of transport used by a majority of locals. Some intercity buses are also equipped with GPS facilities.
Cab
You can book cabs in Sydney if you need to visit any place. The cab prices are cheap and are flexible according to your needs and requirements. Some prominent cab companies are Legion Cabs, Uber Cabs, Premier Taxi etc.
Hire
You can rent cars and minibuses if you wish to go on a sightseeing tour with your family or friends. Most of these rental companies are located near the airport vicinity or near the Sydney CBD. They are convenient if you wish to travel on your own time.
Local Train
Sydney has a vast suburban rail network sprawled in a span of 882km of track. It has 176 stations, and trains arrive every 30 mins in the city. There are NightRide buses as well, which are timed every 1 hour. Most trains do not stop on all platforms and do not go till the end of the line, so make sure you keep an eye on the screens on the platform. You can use ferries to commute inland.
On Foot
Most of the attractions come under walking distance, making Sydney a pedestrian-friendly city.
