MADAI

Celebrated by the Gonds tribe, Madai is a unique festival where the tribal people gather under the shade of a sacred tree, sing, dance and beat drums before offering a goat to the Mother goddess.

BHAGHORIYA FESTIVAL

Bhils tribe of Bandhavgarh National Park celebrate the Bhaghoriya festival dedicated to the local deity with lots of enthusiasm. The festival signifies love, romance and marriage. During this festival, Bhagoradev, the God of dance is worshipped. Ritual dance, drum beats and the melody of musical instruments mark the festival. This festival is celebrated one week prior to Holi.

HOLI

Holi is another festival that is celebrated with great fanfare and enthusiasm by the people of Bandhavgarh. People dance, listen to songs and enjoy the melody of the flute and shehnai.

KARMA

The festival of Karma is typical to this region, wherein the devotees fast for 24 hours and enjoy dance and sing the entire night.
