Noches en Los Jardines del Real Alcázar

You can hear first-class musicians perform in the unforgettable surroundings of the Alcázar Palace gardens, which has UNESCO World Heritage status, by night. Jazz, flamenco, Arabic and classical music, plus Irish and Brazilian, are among the genres featured in the programme.

Parque Centenario Exhibition

This year, Maria Luisa Park celebrates its centenary and this exhibition traces its history, from the private estate of 19th Century royal couple, Spanish princess María Luisa Fernanda de Borbón and Antoine de Orleans, Duke of Montpensier, to the location for the Ibero-Americano Exposición of 1929, designed by French landscape designer Forestier, to a much-loved city park.

21 GRADOS

Every summer, the University’s CICUS (Centro de Iniciativas Culturales de la Universidad de Sevilla) organises its own programme of night-time events, including film showings, exhibitions and plays, called 21 Grados (21 Degrees).

Teatro Romano, Itálica

Watch classical Roman and Greek plays by Plautus and Euripides in the spectacular setting of Itálica, one of the first Roman cities to be built outside Italy, and birthplace of the Emperors Hadrian and Trajan.

Velá de Santa Ana, Triana

The barrio of Triana, across the river from the main part of the city, is known for its independent spirit. This neighbourhood feria, which dates from the 13th Century, is Triana’s summer riverside party, complete with casetas, Sevillana dancing competitions, sporting events, live music and merry-making, Andalucia style.

Noches de Verano en el Palacio de la Buhaira

This little-known Moorish palace, located just outside the city centre in the Nervión district, hosts a season of outdoor concerts and theatre from July to September.

Nocturama, La Cartuja

In addition to offering a historic setting – Columbus stayed at this Carthusian monastery while planning his voyages, and the buildings were later used as a ceramics factory by Englishman Charles Pickman – contemporary art museum, CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo), has its own programme of summer cultural activities.

El Paseo de Arte

Take a stroll along Paseo de la O, a broad riverside walkway in Triana, for the weekend art market, where local artesans sell their wares every Saturday and Sunday. Ceramics, paintings, handmade stationery, flamenco accessories, children’s toys, wooden ornaments and other unusual goods can be found at stalls in this historic location, next to the Castillo San Jorge and Triana bridge.

Noches de Sevilla: Teatro en Espacios Patrimoniales

A rare opportunity to watch theatrical performances in three historic settings: Castillo San Jorge, the seat of the Inquisition, Espacio Santa Clara, in the 13th Century convent, and comedies at Antiquarium, the Roman archaeological remains under the Setas.

Colección MP de Arte Contemporáneo

Housed in the US Pavilion from Expo 29, this private environmental and nature-themed collection encompasses the best of current-day art, such as Spanish artists Federico Guzman, and MP and MP Rosado, as well as 20th Century greats such as Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys. The collection is owned by architect and renowned art expert Valentín de Madariaga y Oya, founder of the Fundación Valentín de Madariaga-MP.
