Buy tickets at the machine outside the arrivals hall (bills, coins and credit cards accepted). The trip by taxi costs around Sfr40. Basel hotel guests automatically receive a ‘mobility ticket’ pass, providing free transport throughout the city, operated by BVB. Without the pass, tram and bus tickets cost Sfr2.30 for short trips (maximum four stops), Sfr3.80 for longer trips within Basel and Sfr9.90 for a day pass.
